Getting Started BlogRUSH is free and pretty easy to add to your blog. Once you’ve added BlogRUSH just sit back and wait for your increased on line traffic. Blog RUSH works off your blogs RSS feed. The set-up is quick too. After you sign up, select a few settings and pick a category that fits with your blog’s theme, BlogRUSH goes to work. The BlogRUSH widget displays 5 clickable titles of posts from other related blogs. In return your posts are placed on other related blogs that use the BlogRUSH widget. Categories More Categories are on the way but here is what they have so far:
So what’s in it for you? Each time someone views a page on your blog a new set of 5 posts appear in the BlogRUSH widget. This will earn you 1 syndication credit allowing your blog post to appear on other blogs using the BlogRUSH widget. 1 syndication point equals 1 exposure on someone elses blogRUSH widget. The more syndication credits from your traffic the more exposure you’ll get on other blogs. Pretty cool, huh? Hold on, here’s where it gets nutty, crazy. If USER 1 clicks “Add your blog Posts – FREE” or the BlogRUSH logo on the bottom of your widget they can sign up and start using BlogRUSH on their blog. Once this happens they become your referral and you’ll get additional syndication credits based on the number of times the BlogRUSH widget loads on their blog. If USER 2 visits USER 1’s blog and signs up for blogRUSH you’ll get the syndication credits from USER B’s blog as well! If USER 2 refers USER 3 you’ll get even more syndication credits. This madness will go on for up to 10 Generations of referrals. With all the blogs online today it would be wise to sign up sooner than later. Getting in early will provide more opportunities for people to sign up under you and your referrals. It’s a great tool for increased on line traffic to your blog. BlogRUSH is still very new. The BlogRUSH team has certainly gone through some growing pains dealing with people abusing and taking advantage of the service. They have a manual review process coming for all new users and are weeding out any poor quality blogs that don’t offer quality content. The syndication credits left over from these bogus blogs will go to any of the early members. There’s another good reason to join as soon as you can. New features They’re also listening to their users and have come out with ‘Flavours’ shortly after their initial launch. What Flavours does is allow you to change the color of your BlogRUSH widget from a dozen choices without going into the code on your blog. Nice. 
Flavours happened as a result from many user requesting the ability to change the color of the BlogRUSH widget to match their blog’s color scheme. Widget Filters Another great feature is the Widget filter. You can filter out competing blogs or specific words from appearing in your widget. It’s a nice way to control the content coming into your widget. I’m still noticing some of the words in my filter appearing in the widget, but I’m hoping these bugs will disappear with future updates. I’ll still keep emailing BlogRUSH if the situation persists after the next update. Time will tell With all new things on the web come tons of skepticism and negative comments. No one knows how things will really go. We’re optimistic and hope BlogRUSH turns into a great tool to build our blogs readership.
