Finding the right image isn’t always easy. There are lots of fantastic stock photo sites out there that have a huge collection of professional images to choose from. Unfortunately going to each site individually in search of your images can take a lot of time.

Your worries are over. There’s a new breed of specialized stock photo search engines arriving on the scene. These new search engines can search more than one stock photo site at a time and save you a lot of time in the process.

Here are 5 photo search sites for you to choose from:

Here is a nice collection of public domain, royalty free photos. You can use the search function or select one of the many categories to find what you need. The site is organized well and has a large collection of great photos to choose from. Built by a programmer in the San Diego area who goes by the name of Jon, all of the images on PD Photo’s have been taken by one photographer; Jon.

Read the ‘About’ section if you plan any commercial use for his images. The ads on the site help to pay for the hosting costs. Jon’s day job allows him to offer his images for any use you may need them for. If you use one of his images, maybe you can link back to his site as thanks.
